Band Member Bio's

Freeman White

Freeman began his musical journeys at the age of 4, with private instruction that lasted well into aduldthood.  He started playing professionally at the age of 15.  His years of playing have taken him to Europe, and all over the states.  His love of vintage equipment makes for an authentic, warm addition to the band's sound.  Vocally, he adds the "top" end to any arranagement, or "drives the bus" with powerful,  heartfelt leads.

Mike Miz

Mike’s roots are in the Wyoming Valley of Northeastern Pennsylvania, where his music reflects the folk, rock, blues, blue grass and reggae base in which he was nurtured. Privileged to play out since the age of 15, he has had the pleasure to play on stage with such formable artist as Merle Saunders, Umphrey’s McGee, Don Preston (Frank Zappa and the Mothers), Chuck Garvey, Al Schnier, (moe.), Charlie Hitchcock & Ben Combe (Particle), Marco Benevento, Jeff Pevar, Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident), Michael Glabicki (Rusted Root), Jen Z (Antigone Rising), Marc Ford, Willy Waldman, Tim Carbone (Railroad Earth, Phil and Friends), Scott Sawyer, Gorgon Stone, Creed Bratton (the Grassroots, NBC’s The Office), George Wesley, and many more…

What Mike brings to the stage is courtesy, grace and a vocal that can lament like a young soul in love or grate like a seasoned old blues singer. His solo performances capture the craftsmanship of his songwriting and reveal the depth of their origin. His guitar playing brings some undefinable artistry on both acoustic and electric that is tasteful, poignant, but can make a camera blur...www.myspace.com/mikemizwinski

Dave Diamond

Dave Diamond’s career in music spans more than twenty years. A prolific singer/songwriter and session musician, Dave has recorded and performed as a solo artist and with his own band, Pozzy Ghuru, as well as with an array of other talented and acclaimed musicians. With a wide palette of tastes for different music, Dave’s passionate drumming and percussion reflects his many different influences. His versatility is evident in his session work, where he is in high demand for albums ranging from reggae to rock, from ska to punk, from free-form jamming to straight-up experimental jazz/fusion, to the most dynamic indie rock singer/songwriters.

A drummer first, Dave is a creative multi-instrumentalist, equally at home on guitar, bass and keyboards. When stepping out from behind the kit, Dave can be found singing and playing solo shows with his guitar, cajon and loop station. Some of his collaborations with artists have been featured in film and on TV.

He has toured, recorded or shared the stage with a diverse mix of artists and bands, including Bob Weir, Maceo Parker, the Wailers, Todd Rundgren, Stanley Jordan, Richie Havens, Robert Randolph, Eric Krasno (Soulive), Pete Francis (Dispatch), and so many more.

Among the highlights of Dave’s varied discography are two records with keyboardist Jason Crosby (Robert Randolph & the Family Band), which featured acclaimed artists from the Allman Brothers, Oteil Burbridge, Derek Trucks and Marc Quinones; Leo Nocentelli (the Meters); Susan Tedeschi; Shannon McNally; Harvey S.; and Marc Broussard.

In addition to releasing two records with his jam band, Pozzy Ghuru, and one aptly named solo album Dave Diamond, Dave performs and records with indie rock artists such as BlowUpHollywood (over 50k units sold DIY) and Alan Semerdjian. He has earned praise for his work in several leading industry publications, including Drum! and Modern Drummer. Dave recently wrapped up touring across the US with Donna Jean Godchaux McKay (Grateful Dead) and veteran jamband the Zen Tricksters, after releasing their self-titled and produced recording in 2007. Currently performing non-stop with a range of artists throughout the New York Tri-State area, Dave’s newest solo record is slated for release in June 2009.
